There’re more important things to ponder.
Psst. Whats a dodo?

The dodo (Raphus cucullatus) was a flightless bird endemic to the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius. Related to pigeons and doves, it stood about a metre (three feet) tall and weighed about 20 kilograms (44 pounds), lived on fruit and nested on the ground.

The dodo has been extinct since the mid-to-late 17th century.[1] It is commonly used as the archetype of an extinct species because its extinction occurred during recorded human history, and was directly attributable to human activity. The adjective phrase “as dead as a dodo” means undoubtedly and unquestionably dead. The verb phrase “to go the way of the dodo” means to become extinct or obsolete, to fall out of common usage or practice, or to become a thing of the past.

Oops. I tried to clean my mis-spelling above – could you delete 3.? Thanx.

Also, you may know that I can have some quite controversial ‘random thoughts’, so I’ll try to refrain assuming children and mothers may pass this way.

Hey John – I cleared #3. And for the record, all I did was cut and paste what Wikipedia said about Dodo’s. No trouble!

As far as children and mothers go, so far the only folks I’ve told about this spot are the shepherd school guys, but it is a public site (meaning not hidden or password protected), so you may want to consider that. Still, you know me – I’m open to controversy as long as it is in the spirit of edification or sincerity.

Perhaps not enough tapestry. Truth? You can never have too much truth.

Ha!

I can post more, but it’s no fun when there’s no interaction. I think I may start slowly letting more people in on the URL just so it’s not a ghost town around here…

Me thinx there might be a commonality missing. Meaning; though we all possess the essentials of faith in Jesus, not all of us have the same depth or maturity or interest. What subject/topic appeals to one, may not appeal to another. Some may even be intimidated to the matter and therefore forego the risk of being imbarassed, misunderstood, slammed (Lord knows I’ve been there – ha, ha).

So, if I may suggest, start with something “lighter”, non-video, original?

Has anyone listened to ‘The Fray’ cd yet? It’s become my favorate.

Last night at a Bible study, 1st Chronicles 1:1-3 was introduced as a sidebar. I did not know this (and I’ve yet to detirmine for myself if it’s so), the names in these verses, when translated, announce the first coming of Massiah. Anyone attest to this? If not, what say we investigate this together?

Let’s not let this be our only means of fellowship with one-another. I nor you are invisible!

By my own hand, John

Thanks for the feedback John. I’ll consider it. Just for the record, the stuff that I’ve posted that is non-video, lighter and original has sparked far less conversation that the video stuff – but I intend to post both.

Interesting thought in 1 Chronicles… I’ve heard something like this before – same genealogy from Gen. 5. I did some quick word searches (I hope to get a little deeper later) and this is what I have:

Adam, Man
Seth, Placed; appointed
Enosh, Mortal Man / Humanity
Kenan, to take possession / aquire
Mahalalel, Praise God or Blessed God
Jared, descent (come down)
Enoch, dedicating
Methuselah, his death shall bring forth
Lamech, power / strength
Noah. Comfort / long life

or:
Man appointed humanity to take possession; Blessed God come down dedicating his death shall bring forth power, comfort.

Principle Practice

Ever have opportunity to go beyond social expectation and not realized it until it passed? Have you told yourself, “I should’ve done…” or, “I could’ve said…”, in hind sight?

At work I took advantage of just an opportunity and was blessed beyond expectation! Mercy was practiced. Earlier in the week grace was practiced. Deliberately!

I’ve no doubt that these and more are expressed by all who believe, but it seems that these can and are taken for granted. And because they’re taken for granted, I think we can loose sight of what we’re called to practice.

I think I’ll become a doctor so I can get patience.

I think I’m talking to myself?

What have you guys thought about Sunday night’s ‘The Truth Project’? Have you encountered any opportunity to share this Truth?
